Cruelty of Life
It is not a secret for anyone that life is cruel. It makes you suffer and when you get used to the pain it gives you a new chance making you hoping and trying again.

Who is that guy you call life? Does it/he exist?
if you switch the perspective you could also say, there is some suffering to make the good moments even better..
why are you not just happy if something good happens to you? it usually doesnt last for eternity so dont spoil the moment by lamenting.
so, if you have some success, go and celebrate it!
