Birthday Party

As you might know, my birthday was in December. Comparing to some recent birthdays, this was quite calm and quiеt. I decided to stay at home and to cook some things for the friends.

We did some really nice things. One of them was sangria. We were making sangria for the second time and now I know how to do it properly: you need some apples, some oranges, some lemons, several bottles of cabernet sauvignon, lemon soda, orange liquor (such as Gran Mariner we had) and mineral water with gas. It remains only to mix all these things in some magical way. If you want to know how - invite me to the party! ;)

The second thing we did was a typical for Latvia quarkkuchen, or curd pie, or how ever you call it, with sultana. I took the recepee from www.receptes.lv and it was quite easy to make. You can see that we got it in a right colour.

Finally, my neighbors made a tastefull lasagna and several salsas to feed all hungry stomachs.

I was against any presents, but still guys made me some and that was very pleasant. I like my birthdays, but I hate to get older. But what can you do?
