An Old Joke on The Matter of Sufficiency
In USSR many Georgians who lived in other republics were commercially active an thus were considered sufficiently rich.
An old Georgian stands in a church silently. After a moment enters a Russian and starts to pray:
- God, please, let me get a bonus at the end of the year! It would be so great for my family. I could buy presents for my children and a new winter-coat for my wife. Please, please, let me get a bonus!
The Georgian listens to that and says to the Russian:
- How much is your bonus?
- 250 rubles!
The Georgian opens his wallet and gives money to the Russian:
- So, here you 300 and don't disturb God with such small things.
