Latvian IT Terminology

I like the Latvian language partially because of its simplicity and partially because of its flexibility and modernity. The thesaurus of the language is constantly updated reflecting new concepts coming to our life. Thanks to the language and terminology commissions, the new words to denote these new concepts are not necessarily latvianizations of appropriate English terms. I was just nicely surprised by menu option "Izveidot emuaru" while viewing my own blog. Word "emuars" is derived from "e-memuars" (electronic memoir) and is intuitively understood by many Latvians. It is somehow similar to "blog" coming from "web log". Isn't it nice?
