You Are a Researcher If ...

In contrast to the previous post I'm giving you some things about researchers:

  1. You are a researcher, if you have once disassembled your granmother's clock (unfortunately I did it)
  2. (you are still an engineer if you assembled it back and it worked)
  3. You are a researcher, if only other researchers can understand what you have written
  4. You are a researcher, if you are thinking about a general solution before to screw in a bolt.
  5. You are a researcher, if after done with your greatest invention you look where to apply it.

Golden Rules of Engineering

Sometimes I get tired of work among the researches and with a nostalgy I recall the true way the things should be done:

  1. Don't think how it could work, make that it works.
  2. If it works, don't touch.
  3. If you can buy a wheel, don't invent it.
  4. Never buy wheels from Chineese.
