Salsa in South Tyrol

Yesterday I have been again to the latino disco "Cheope", which is located near Laives/Leifers - a little town to the South from Bolzano/Bozen.

I have noticed that it is a kind of local tradition to make any kind of clubs outside the cities. There are some obvious advantages of that - it is easier and cheaper to find a big space for a club, loud music won't disturb the neighbours, etc. The main disadvantage - you need a car to get there . In my case it would be a problem if didn't know Astrid and Marejka that are periodically taking me out. So thanks to them! ;)

Back to yesterday - it was something special there, because there were many good dancers and could not really compare to them. Usually the people here are dancing Casino Cubano or Casino Maiami styles, however, yesterday I've seen 2 couples dancing in Los Angeles style.

You know I am a perfectionist and there are not so many things that can excite me, but some of the guys, who were dancing Cuban Salsa were very good. I don't really know if it was Casino Maiami, because it is certainly Casino with very exquisite man styling with a lot of plastic moves that can be seen in break-dance or in hip-hop.

To summarize, with the great nastalgy I remember the times when I was learning, dancing, performing and teaching salsa. I have to admit that some of my skills and moves are gone and here are some guys, who are a way better than I was before. So, I'm looking for a partner interested not only to dance, but also to train and improve.
