Welcome to Bolzano-Bozen

A friend of mine will visit me soon to stay for a week. I don't have much time to spend with friends, so I'm thinking of a number of short time activities one can find in South Tyrol. My list of options so far is as follows. If you have soem other ideas you are welcome to write them in comments.

  • Visit archaeological museum (with famous Ötzi).
  • Visit Messner's Bergmuseum in Sigmundskron / Castel Flavon
  • Go with bicycles to the lake Montigler / Monticolo
  • Go to Lido open swimmingpools
  • Go to the therme in Meran
  • Go to the botanical garden in Meran
  • Go with bicycle to Auer
  • Go to Kohle (in the evening) to watch at night Bozen, Epan, Terlan
  • Go to some nice and easy via-ferrata (which one? (a) near Garda)
  • Go jogging in the evening
  • Go for 1 day hiking to Ultental / Val Ultimo
  • Go for 1 day hiking to Katharinenberg / Monte Catarina
  • Hiking for 1 day in Schlern-Rosengarten nature park
  • Eat a pizza in Veruska (any other places?)
  • Visit Museon in Bozen/Bolzano
  • Visit Mart in Roveretto
  • Go to some salsa disco (Cheope?)
  • (to be continued ...)

There are some nice and easy ferratas above lake Garda. Hike to Kohlern maybe is also a good idea, can be done on his/her own. Instead take a cable car in Renon to see sandpiles. If your guest is interested in arts, Mart in Roveretto is an obligation, as well as the new Museon which opens on 24th of May. Some real italian pizza is a must too.

Dear Guoda, thanks for the contribution. The cable car to Renon is being rennovated, I guess. Museon and Mart in Roveretto sound good. Thanks once again.
