More Pearls

Don't start a new life before finishing with the old one.

If you see the problem - solve it. If there are no problems - you have time for a cigarette.

In academics you are looking for the real world problems, in the real world - you are running from them.

Problems of others are much more intersing than your own.

Simple, solve your own problems first. If you see one, face it! And, of course, take it easy. At least it worked for me like this.

I forgot: In academics you are lookin for the abstract problems, whereas in the real world you are looking for the social problems! These are maybe more real ..?

You are giving too serious comments for an ironic post :) The problems can be social, technical, economical, depending on the area. I guess in academics the problem should be interesting, original, while in the real world most of them are boring. Abstraction comes from generalization.

you know why are human problems boring? They are doing same sh.. with they lives as all other people, they never learn the solution from others. It is the trickery in human mind that makes us all think we are special and even worse, our problems are special, while in fact they are all the same...
In academics, if you solve the problem that has already been being solved, you would be considered stupid.
