On Strong Opinions
I don't like people with strong opinions. They do not let others have their own opinions. They are useless to talk to, and it is never worth to make them change their mind. If it happens, the minimum amount of spent energy is equal to boiling 3.1415... tones of clear water with initial temperature +20C at the sea level.
Agree! I myself dislike people with those other opinions. And I really stick to people who have the same opinion as me.
In general no opinion is better than any other opinion as long as it is an opinion.
i don't agree with it being useless to listen to them.. after all, they might have thought of an aspect which did not occur to oneself, so it might broaden ones own horizon.
trying to convert them to something different, on the other hand, could prove to be a useless thing to do; however, how do you measure that you made or did not make them think about what you said? sometimes other/strange/new opinions take some time to sit down in someones mind, and before that point in time might not surface at all.
so i guess, it is rather a matter of attitude than of use.
i didn't say they are useless to listen to. they are useless to talk to. luckily, the world is full with other people, so one doesn't need always to spent his energy dealing with some stubborn self-convinced whatever they are.
